Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Routines
To help minimize congestion in our school and maintain a safe environment for all students, we kindly ask parents to follow these procedures during school hours:
Drop-Off- When dropping off your child, please buzz the office so we can unlock the front door. Once inside, have your child(ren) check in at the office before heading to class. We ask that parents remain outside when dropping off your child(ren).
Pick-Up- If you are picking up your child during school hours, please buzz the office and we will send your child(ren) out to meet you.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our Lions safe!
Terry Fox Run
We had the most beautiful day in celebration of the 45th Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope. Thank you to everyone who donated online, brought in a “toonie for Terry”, bought a t-shirt, shared our online fundraising link, volunteered, and who participated in our run/walk! A special “thank you” to students from Mr. Ross’s grade 8 class and a few grade 7s from Ms. Hulton’s class, who lead our assembly, helped sort & deliver t-shirts, promoted our fundraiser and set/cleaned up our Terry Fox School run event.
We started this year’s campaign with a goal of raising $5,190 – which was one dollar more than last year’s fundraising total. This year, with $575 in “toonies for Terry” counted on our run day, our final fundraising total is an amazing $7,113!!
Throughout the campaign, Ms. Jamieson/Ms. Groenwegen & Ms. Hulton’s classes took turns at the top our school’s fundraising leaderboard – each raising over $1100. By the beginning of our school assembly, Ms. Hulton’s class came out on top, leading by only $63. A shout-out to the third-place class, Ms. Frank’s grade 5/6s, with a fundraising total of $627.
Thank you to our entire school community for coming together to make this year’s Terry Fox event a HUGE success! Our school’s online fundraising link will remain active into the New Year. If you didn’t get a chance to donate or share our link, and still want to, here it is…
