Happy Thanksgiving Lions!
We want to wish our Loughborough community a happy Thanksgiving. We hope it was a weekend of gratitude and reflection. On behalf of all the staff at Loughborough Public School, we want to thank our Lions and are truly grateful for the continued support of our families and school community.
LPS Picture Day
Wednesday, October 15 is our Loughborough School Picture Day. All our Lions are encouraged to show up with their biggest smiles! Only individual photos will be taken at this time. Class photos will be taken at at a later date.
Little Caesars Pizza Fundraising
A reminder that online orders are due October 13th, with paper orders being due to the school on October 14th
New items this year include cinnamon crazy bread with icing, Detroit deep dish slices and stix, and thin crust pizza kits. Unfortunately, gluten-free pizzas have been discontinued.
- Orders can be placed online at pizzakit.ca
- Under "Products" select "Shop"
- Select "Support a Local Fundraiser" and enter our ID 468411
- Don't forget to include the FIRST AND LAST name of the STUDENT you are shopping for so we know how to distribute your orders.
- Paper orders will be available in the office and at Open House on September 25th
- Orders will be delivered on October 30th and will be available for pickup in the Library between 4 and 7 pm.
Our goal is to sell at least 500 kits.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards supporting student activities such as field trips and sports competitions.
Piano Lessons at LPS
Carolyn Schaub, who has been teaching piano at LPS and in the region since 2006, will be offering piano lessons at LPS again this year during the school day. Her goal is to instill the love of making music. Her teaching philosophy and the curricula she uses, can be found at www.carolynscreative.com. Hot Lunch
Loughborough PS offers the option to order hot lunch 3 days a week. New this year, we will have pizza on Tuesdays from Mike’s Pizza, right here in Sydenham. Wednesdays will be Subway and Thursdays will be Gino’s Chicken Fingers & Fries. Orders are due the Sunday prior to the week, at midnight. Lunch orders will begin the week of September 15th. Late or Cancelled Buses
At times, our school buses are late to pick up students in the morning or are late getting to school to pick up students at the end of the day. If your child’s bus is late, please visit www.triboard.ca and click on Delays and Cancellations to check on the status of your child’s bus.
