Family Fun Night helps fund yard revitalization

Thanks to Loughborough Public School Parent Council our annual Family Fun Night was a huge success!

The evening featured all the family favourites including an obstacle course, bumper balls, face painting, a barbecue and bake sale as well as presentations by the Kingston Stilters and the Grade 7/8 band. The popular silent auction and classroom basket raffle rounded out the line-up of events.

Organizers are still counting but Parent Council expects to rise more than $5,000 to put toward our ongoing School Yard Revitalization Project.

So far, Parent Council, led by amazing fundraising co-chairs Jeff Peck and Christina Marshall, have raised almost $90,000 which funded our new play structure installed last fall, and the resurfacing/addition to our multi-sports pad which should be completed this summer in time for the new school year.

Parent Council would like to thank its core organizing committee, event night volunteers and all of the local businesses who donated items to support the event.
